Hi, I'm Megan.
I'm an NBCT in Exceptional Needs Education.
I have a husband, two kids, and one dog (but I really want a puppy.)
I taught for a couple years in Special Education before having my own kid with Down syndrome, then returning to the classroom. After having a typically developing kid, I realized that the whole "free preschool for kids with disabilities" thing is awesome and I worked part time doing photography and directing a church Children's Ministry.
Now, I'm back!
When I'm not teaching or with my family, I am taking photos, running (usually with my labradoodle), listening to audiobooks, or exploring Bogota.
As I've changed from districts in the US and now to an international school, I realize that resources I've collected have been lost along the way in various Google Drives, old email accounts, etc. This blog is an attempt at keeping everything in one place so as my family moves around, I don't lose track of anything. It's also a place for me to reflect on the new world of online learning and to analyze what did and didn't work in my teaching context.
I'm returning to the classroom after five years at home just in time for distance learning, hybrid learning, covid 19, etc.
